IIS는 IUSR_Computer, IWAM_Computer 두계정으로 돌아간다. 이 중 IWAM_Computer 이름을 바꾸려면 다음의 순서로 하면 된다.
- IWAM_Computer를 다른 이름으로 변경한다. (예:IWAM_Network)
- adsutil.vbs set w3svc/wamusername "IWAM_NETWORK"
- 메타베이스에서 변경된 계정정보를 COM+ 응용패키지에도 적용한다.
IIS 5.0인 경우는 다음의 명령을 통해서 한다.
cscript synciwam.vbs -v
IIS 4.0인 경우는 MMC에서 수동으로 변경해야 한다.

The IWAM_machine identity must be in synch in the metabase, the Security Account Manager (SAM), and COM+. Account information stored in the Internet Information Server (IIS) metabase is synchronized with the local SAM, but COM+ applications are not automatically updated. - 레지스트리를 수정한다.(IIS 4.0인 경우 불필요)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp 에 DisableUserAccountRestore(DWORD)를 추가한다.
